Feeling disconnected from both her family and her heritage, Lexi-Grace walks the campus of her college without knowing the powerful ancestry she descends from, but after a chance encounter with a mysterious blue-haired girl that leaves a painful mark on her arm, she's thrust into an unkind world of magic where the more she learns about herself, the more questions she is left with.

Having spent fifteen years in refuge from the war-torn village of her childhood, Inna tries to remind herself that she's safe now, but when she finds herself cursed to die in six months with no way to contact her parents, she must face her past and return to her homeland to search for a cure--leading her directly to the fate she and her people have feared the most.
